About Hop Hog IPA:
HOP HOG IPA is an India Pale Ale featuring a strong hop flavor and elevated alcohol level. According to HOP HOG IPA’s product description, cascade hops provide a citrusy, flowery aroma and flavor which is accented nicely by solid malt overtones. At around 8% ABV and 50 BU (bitterness units), HOP HOG IPA is an excellent illustration of a classic beer style.
“HOP HOG IPA is an aggressive example of the IPA style,” said John Frantz, Vice President of Sales for Lancaster Brewing Co., “and we are excited to add it to our growing lineup of products. We expect HOP HOG IPA to be very popular among those who enjoy Hop beer.”
 Lancaster Brewing Co.'s optimism is certainly warranted given HOP HOG IPA’s recent taste test results. A panel of Hop beer enthusiasts from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region participated in a blind taste test. Among 10 of the most-recognized regional IPAs the preferred choice, by far, was HOP HOG IPA. In fact, 80% of the panelists named HOP HOG IPA either best or second best in the group – the only IPA to score that high.
“We couldn’t have asked for better results from the blind taste test,” said Lancaster Brewing Co. Brew Master Christian Heim. “Going in we were confident we had something special in HOP HOG IPA, but it was tremendous to be such an overwhelming favorite among people who know, and appreciate, Hop beer.”
